1. THE BENEFITS OF INTERNATIONAL EQUIPMENT'S Patented
"SNAP-LOCK"® PANEL SYSTEM OF WIRELINE CABIN CONSTRUCTION:
1.1 International's system of building modular wireline units using unique materials, techniques, and systems are long proven to be far superior to other conventional body building methods.
1.2 A structural cabin is formed by interlocking extruded aluminum modular panels, which when "SNAP LOCKED"® together form a combined frame and membrane construction. These materials produce a very rigorous and long lasting body that adapts to the harsh use of the oilfield applications.
1.3 The extrusions are formed in a radius die to provide rounded corners while eliminating the main frame common to "frame and skin" construction techniques.
1.4 The "SNAP LOCK"® panel system of building allows for openings in the structure without additional reinforcing.
1.5 This allows greater flexibility of building. The length that the extruded panel is cut to will determine the height of the structure, whereas the number of panels "snapped" together will determine the width. Doors, windows and/or openings may be placed where desired.
1.6 The membrane thickness of 0.100" 6063 T5 aluminum ensures durability and dimensional stability.
1.7 The "integral" post on 12" centers ensures very rigid wall panels while allowing for tensional loads far in excess of standard "post and skin" construction techniques.
1.8 The man door entry and hardware meet or exceed all marine specifications and is gasketed. A roof gutter prevents water run-off in cabin.
IEC "SNAP-LOCK" ® EXTRUSION PANEL
2.1 The floor frame is constructed with 3" x 2" x .125" extruded 6063-T5 grade aluminum
2.2 The floor frame is covered with 3/4" marine grade plywood sub-floor
2.3 The plywood is covered with a heavy-duty anti-static, oil-resistant vinyl flooring material.
2.4 Isolation is provided between the steel truck frame and aluminum cabin base, in order to prevent harmonic transfer and electrolysis action.
3. EXTERIOR WALLS:
3.1 Exterior wall are fabricated from our patented extruded aluminum panels forming frame and membrane.
3.4 All frame extrusions are fastened to outside wall with 3/16" HUCK BOLTS
4.1 Roof is 12 Ga. Aluminum Sheathing.
4.2 Roof has aluminum roof bows with 3cm crown.
4.3 Roof bows are on 12" centers.
4.4 Roof skin to be fastened with "HUCK" BOLTS.
4.5 Roof skin to be attached to roof bows with "silaprene" adhesive.
4.6 Roof is fastened to walls using "HUCK" BOLTS on 4" centers.
4.7 All roof skin perimeters are internally sealed with 1/8" x 1" Butyl roof tape and externally sealed with Manusprene caulking.
5.1 Exterior walls are "fired" out on every rib, in order to enhance insulation value.
5.2 All insulation is polyurethane foam. Foam is spray application resulting in minimum 2# per cu. ft. rating and R7 per inch. Optional AF545 Fiberglass may be substituted for no extra charge.
5.3 The interior walls are lined with 18Ga Aluminum sheeting, fastened with aluminum rivets. An optional composite or aluminum wall material is available.
5.4 Sub-floor of cabin is covered with 18Ga aluminum
6.1 The entry/exit door is an all aluminum construction
6.2 The hinges are Stainless Steel.
6.3 Door latch is (escape type) lock and hardware is included.
6.4 The door is lined and insulated and has rubber door seals.
7. EXTERIOR PAINTING:
7.1 The exterior aluminum wall is prepped with rotary orbital sander
to provide textured surface.
7.2 Exterior extrusions are caulked prior to painting.
7.3 Exterior is wiped down using "Sikkens Degreaser" to remove contaminants prior to painting.
7.4 A coat of Metaflex CR Self Etching epoxy primer is applied following two topcoats of Dupont Imeron 5000 Polyurethane Paint.
